On Whidbey Island, the tranquil waters of Swan Lake reflect the forested hills and distant peaks of the Olympic Mountains. Look closer to spot local fowl and waterbirds at this marshland preserve: a bald eagle, the famous great blue heron, seagulls, ducks, and geese. In the distance, you might even catch a glimpse of the artist’s house itself!
